The Journey

I have known you through the years.
You have taught me many things
I have nurtured you through infancy, trying to comfort you and replace the memory of your lost mom
I have felt your loss and pain
Together we work to fill the void

Later, it is time to observe from a far
Creating practice of skills you will need in your independence
We share our uniqueness, knowing who and what we are, giving each a bit of ourselves

In time you become restless and yearning
Your home becomes confining, a prison
You look at me and ask for your freedom
I know it is time, and with joy in my heart, grant you your birth right
You take a part of me with you into the wilderness
I know you have a purpose, a destiny that only freedom can fulfill.
The circle is complete, you are back where you came from.
I have done my job, till the next orphan needs my help
Never will I forget you
We share something sacred
Love has made me set you free
Your joy of freedom has set me free

Mitakuye oyasin !!
(we are all related)

Archway Wildlife Rehabilitation Incorporated, gives wildlife in need, a second chance to grow up, heal, and then return to their natural habitats. This wildlife is in need as a direct result to mankind's expansion into the quickly vanished wild places.

Success rate is defined by how many animals are returned to the wild. Average costs to Rehabilitate wildlife areas follows; per animal:

Wildlife Rehabilitation Costs:

Foxes and raccoons = $3.00 x 140 days = $420 each
Squirrel and weasels = $2.00 x 90 days = $180 each
Ducklings = $2.00 x 45 days = $90 each

In addition to the costs to rehabilitate wildlife, thousands of hours are volunteered every year.

More financial support is needed for future rehabilitation efforts.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP! WE CAN ALL MAKE A DIFFERENCE…
